OSTEOPATHY

Pain and dysfunction often occur because a person's body is not working in the most efficient way. This puts strain on the muscles, ligaments and joints, which can result in pain and discomfort. Osteopathy  restores the structure and function of the body to a state of balance and harmony, so helping the whole person.

Osteopathy is an established, recognised and regulated system of diagnosis and treatment of mainly muscle, joint problems and soft tissue injuries. It combines specific knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and uses many of the diagnostic procedures used in conventional  medicine.

Best for : any musculoskeletal problem, aches and pains, back and neck pain, shoulder/arm and wrist injuries, hip/knee/ankle and foot problems, headaches/migraines, msk vertigo, and tinnitus to name a few.

SPORTS INJURY CLINIC

As an athlete I understand how important it is for a sports person to be able to return to training as soon as possible after an injury. Over my 20 years of experience I have become an expert in dealing with sports injuries and I have worked in many sports establishments including the Imperial College Sports centre, where I looked after the college’s elite athletes for over a decade.

A holistic approach to treatment is achieved by strengthening weaknesses, correcting imbalances, enhancing performance and providing nutritional advice/support.

Best for : any sports related injury.

SPINAL REALIGNMENT THERAPY

This is a very effective, gentle, mobilisation (movement of the spinal joints) technique that I have developed through my experience in the industry. Many people prefer this type of therapy to the traditional osteopathy as there is no need to use strong manipulation or “bone crunching” techniques, as some people would call it.

We constantly compromise our posture in the urban lifestyle we live today, putting extra strain on the spine and the nerves as they exit from the spine which in turn affects all the structures supplied by the corresponding nerves, like the muscles, ligaments, tendons, organs etc.

-The therapy releases the pressure from the compromised nerves, restoring the lines of communication within the body, improving overall body function, healing potential and well-being.

Best for : Neck Pain/Stiffness, Upper and Lower Back Pain, Sciatica, lumbago, Trapped Spinal Nerves,

MSK Pins and Needles in Arms/Legs and for keeping the spine in good working order avoiding any potential issues.

BOWEN THERAPY

All the different parts of our bodies are connected together by the connective tissues (the fascia). Imagine this being like a spider web running throughout our bodies, wrapped around every muscle, bone, organ, ligament, tendon etc.

By moving the fascia very gently, just under the skin at specific points, the release of tension is encouraged in the deeper layers of the body, kickstarting the healing process.

The therapy is very gentle and it also stimulates the calming side of the nervous system, and this is when healing really takes place. This calming effect is so powerful, that most people fall asleep during the session.

Best for : Bowen Therapy can be used for any musculoskeletal problems as well as : Insomnia/sleeping problems, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, headaches, IBS and other bowel issues, any acute injury where normal therapy is not possible, challenging spinal conditions such as disc herniation, frozen shoulder, hay fever, and tennis /golfer's elbow to name a few.
